Drainage+SUDS

SUDS are a key part of managing flood risk. Climate projections predict that heavy rainfall and flooding will continue to become more frequent over the coming decade. By integrating surface water management into the design of urban areas, we can better protect the environment and create sustainable places for future generations.

We are skilled at advising clients around the implications of surface and foul water drainage and the use of SUDS within developments. Our experience spans the changing and implementation of SUDS through national and local guidance and the gradual adoption of SUDS system by statutory bodies.

We understand the requirements of Lead Local Flood Authorities (LLFA) and the need to gain approval at planning stage in order to discharge conditions and allow construction works to begin.

We use ICM and FLOW, the latest modelling and design software to integrate drainage and SUDS systems into developments and provide the most cost-effective solution. We are also experienced in working within the constraints of the SUDS Manual (Ciria C753) and the Design and Construction guidelines (DCG).

We specialise in:

  • Surface Water and Foul Water Drainage Strategies for planning
  • Flood Risk Assessment (FRA)
  • Section 104 and Section 106 designs / applications
  • Private and adoptable drainage including foul drainage systems and foul drainage fields
  • Maintenance and management schedules with drawings
  • Organising testing for planning submissions and detailed designs
  • Drainage designed BIM level 2
